Madiwala Lake is home to a number of migratory birds like Pelicans, Spot-bill Duck, Great Cormorant, Little Cormorant, Painted Stork, Pond Heron, Little Egret, Pariah Kite, Indian Darter, Brahminy Kite, Purple Heron, Ashy Wren-warbler, Cattle Egret, White-breasted Kingfisher, Night Heron and few more.
However recently, it has been noticed that due to erosion in natural soil and increased human activity, the number in variety of birds have declined. These days we can only spot pelicans, eagles and Spot-bill Ducks majorly.
Here are some pictures captured from a recent visit to Madiwala Lake. All pictures have been shot by me and subject to copyright.
